Alum to Teach Improv Course
MFA alum Lucas Hatton will be teaching an improv comedy course for Bike City Theatre Company. The five-week course begins Jan. 16 at Sudwerk Brewing Co. in Davis.
The course invites participants to come play! Whether you’re an experienced improviser or new to the game, practicing theatrical improvisation enhances listening skills, spontaneity and empathy- skills we could all use these day. Plus it’s a ton of fun!
Lucas Hatton has 20 years of experience teaching the art of improvisation. In Chicago, he trained and performed at I.O. and was Artistic Director of Barrel of Monkeys. He currently teaches ensemble performance at San Jose State and Improv for Academics through Graduate Studies at UC Davis. He receives his MFA from the UC Davis Department of Theatre and Dance in 2017.
