Playwright Jacqueline Goldfinger Granada Artist-in-Residence Fall 2020

Jacqueline Goldfinger, 2017 Yale Drama Series Prize and Barrymore Award-winning playwright, will be the fall 2020 Granada Artist-in-Residence for the Department of Theatre and Dance. 

Goldfinger is a playwright, storyteller, and poet. She teaches playwriting at the University of Pennsylvania and co-founded The Foundry at PlayPenn. She recently won the 2017 Yale-Horn Drama Prize for an Emerging Playwright. She’s also won the Smith Prize for Political Theatre by an Emerging Playwright, Barrymore Awards for Outstanding New Play and the Brown Martin Award, Philadelphia Critics Awards for Best New Play, and she’s been nominated for the Weissberger Award and the Blackburn Prize. Her work has been developed and/or produced at The Kennedy Center, Azuka Theatre, La MaMa, Wilma Theatre, New Georges, Theatre Exile, Seattle Public, Flashpoint Theatre, and The National Theatre in London among others. She’s currently working on revising her Smith Prize play CLICK, writing a new commission for the Arden, and finalizing the text for “Bottle Fly” which will be published by Yale Press this fall.
